How to Easily Install IPTV on Amazon Firestick in Canada

The Amazon Fire TV Stick (especially the 4K Max version) is the preferred device for Canadians streaming IPTV. Why? It's inexpensive (frequently discounted on Amazon.ca) and offers immense software freedom.

However, since Amazon doesn't feature all IPTV applications directly in its official App Store, we must use a technique called "Sideloading." Don't worry, it is incredibly easy and 100% legal.

Step 1: Prepare the Firestick for "Sideloading"

By default, Amazon blocks the installation of unknown apps. Here is how to disable this security protocol:

1. Go to the Settings on your Firestick (the gear icon on the far right).

2. Click on My Fire TV.

3. Pro tip: If you don't see "Developer Options", click on "About" and press the "Select" button on your remote 7 times quickly on your device name to become a developer.

4. Once inside Developer Options, turn on Apps from Unknown Sources.

Step 2: The Magic Tool (Downloader)

We will now install the application that allows us to download everything else.

1. Return to the home screen and go to the search icon (the magnifying glass) or select "Find".

2. Type in Downloader.

3. Download the orange "Downloader" app and open it.

4. Allow Downloader to access photos/media (necessary to save download files).

Step 3: Install the IPTV Application

In the URL search bar of the Downloader app, you can enter "quick codes" (Downloader Codes) to instantly fetch popular IPTV players:

For IPTV Smarters Pro (Recommended for Beginners)

Enter the code 78007 (or the official URL provided by CANADAHD).

Click Go*. The app will download and prompt you to install it.

Once installed, open the app, choose "Log in with Xtream Codes API" and enter the credentials you received via email.

For TiviMate (Recommended for Purists)

Enter the code 93824.

Install the application.

Anti-Buffering Tip: Always plug your Firestick into the original Amazon wall adapter (and not into the TV's USB port) to ensure it receives enough power hardware decoding 4K streams.
